This Dolphins' Owner Really Has Me Scratching My Head

You have no idea how difficult it is for me to write this blog post keeping a level-headed, professional manner. So I'm probably going to break that style just a bit by accident. But this Dolphins' owner must be on some type of illegal hallucinogen right? Making people see things? Because yesterday he said that he expects to see the 'Phins in the Super Bowl in February. And now he said he is "sure" that Chad Henne will go down as the greatest quarterback in Dolphins history. Umm... the Dolphins are one of the only teams you just don't say that with. Dan Marino people. One of the best ever. So needless to say, the expectations on Chad Henne are sky-high. And I'm not sure that is necessarily good for this team. So we'll leave it up to you.

Vote 1 for Stephen Ross's comments are just what the Dolphins need to boost their confidence. Vote 5 for Stephen Ross's comments leave expectations far too high and the Dolphins can never meet them.

  1. Not only will he have to compete with the immortal Dan Marino, he has to upstage the great Bob Griese as well. Not happening.

  2. Yeah exactly. Chad Henne's alright and all, but unless he's on some kind of incredible workout regimen that no one has ever discovered, I don't see him becoming one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.

  4. what do you expect him to say... I don't really think we have a chance at winning and our QB is average at best... Thats the right thing to say even if it is far fetched

  5. Never said he should say his quarterback sucks. If I did say he should say that, find it and quote me and I'll apologize. There's this thing called a happy medium. And you don't go making guarantees that you can't back up. Henne's a young kid and that's putting a hell of a lot of pressure on him to say you expect him to be the greatest QB in Dolphins history. If you disagree, I'd suggest you don't GM an NFL team any time soon. Or you'll end up like Miami.

  7. Let me know when you're making money on a blog. I think it's pretty easy money. Why are you reading it if you don't like it?

  8. Not to mention I can see your IP address in our stat counters and you've returned to the site six times. We've had it for 7 days. So you seem to be just about as regular a reader as we could get. Keep hiding behind the anonymous screen name though. Real tough ;-)
