Classy as Always

Espn.com- LeBron James has taken out a full-page ad in his hometown paper in which he thanks the people of Akron, Ohio, for supporting him -- and doesn't mention the city where he played basketball the last seven years.

Is he serious now?

Honestly, any shred of respect I had for leBron James has now diminished (though I barely respected him at all.) He's just adding a little salt to the wound. "Oh yeah, I grew up here, learned how to play the game here, but I'm going to the Jersey Sh... er, Miami Beach to play wit my friends!" Way to give the people of Ohio another reason to hate you.

And I hardly think the city of Akron cares if he grew up there and did a lot of community service. He didn't stick by them and the state of Ohio, and I hardly think a paltry ad in a newspaper will help him gain favor in his former hometown.

Of course he didn't mention Cleveland. He's not man enough to show humility and thank a city that has given him practically everything in the first seven years of his career, a city whose economy will practically crumble without him.

I hope he has fun getting his chemistry lacking team get mopped the floor with when they play the Celtics in their first game together, not only so the Celts get a W, but so this self-righteous child can get his comeuppence.
