VOTE NOW on Fight #19: Clemens vs Rondo
vs
The Matchup: Ex-Cy Young winner and proven steroid user Roger Clemens versus Boston Celtics all-star point guard Rajon Rondo.
The Fight: In another interesting fight, we have two very different styles here. Rondo, at 6'1" and 186 lbs, is a quick and sly kind of guy. Just like his hoop game. He'll be there when you thought he was on the other side of the court, then you blink again and he's taking off with the ball toward your hoop. He has that same type of sneaky element in this fight. Clemens is a brute force type of guy, standing at 6'4" and weighing 238 (but that weight might have been with those 'roids). He'll want to bring the fight to the ground, because standing up, Rondo will be far too quick to land a big strike on. The question is, can Clemens get Rondo to the ground and get him into an inferior position with Rondo's amazing quickness and competitive IQ? Tough to say. I'm saying no though. Steroid users always end up in worse shape after their time is up, because they're so bad for the body. What's Clemens now, like 79 years old? Rondo is in the peak of his physical condition, and it will take some kind of huge strike early in the match to give the win to Clemens.
My Vote: Rondo will simply wear him down. It will go the distance, because I'm not sure Rondo has knockout power. But he'll land more strikes and he'll be more efficient. He'll dodge every move Clemens makes. The judges will notice. After 3 hard fought rounds, the judges give a unanimous decision to the winner, Rajon Rondo.
Your turn. Time to vote. Who moves on?
