He then held up this photo of his wife, who was modeling for an NFL women's fashion magazine. When asked why he might be reading a women's fashion magazine anyway?
"You just try to broaden your [horizon]. Obviously, with the wardrobe I have, I'm one of those kinds of guys."
That's typical Rex Ryan, and there's really no reason to hate him for these comments. He's just being funny and laid back and joking about the same things everyone jokes about when talking about Tom Brady. I'm just hoping it becomes the downfall of his squad. I can't remember a championship coach who has ever been as comedic and full of banter with the media as Rex is. He feels on top of the world after taking down the mighty (2-8) Bengals, and barely squeezing wins out of sub-500 teams Houston, Detroit, and Cleveland in the weeks prior. Granted, they're 9-2. But aside from their victory over the Pats themselves, has the body of work been there like it has been for New England? The Pats have taken care of Baltimore, Pittsburgh, San Diego, and Indianapolis en route to their 9-2 record. I think Rex may want to get a tad bit more serious for this one. But hey, I guess that's just Rex Ryan for you.
At the end of the interview, Ryan added some mysterious comments praising Tom Brady just days after taking a clearly sarcastic approach to anointing the Pats the league's best team, hands down. Sarcasm, truthfulness, or a combination? I'll let you be the judge.
"There's no weakness in Brady's game. He's poised, he's competitive, he's a leader."
Rex is a fat douche

ReplyDeleteReally?, because I can. Bill Parcells. And he's considered a top 10 coach of all time
There are a whole bunch of different ways to win, and to say that no one has ever done it like Rex is wrong.
And Last time I checked the Jets and Pats were both 9-2 with the Jets having won the last matchup.
I too prefer the Belichick way of doing things, but Rex has put together something pretty great down there in The Meadowlands in a pretty short amount of time. We shouldn't just write off his coaching style because he isn't like Belichick.
