For Once on UB...
....I have somewhat accurately depicted the outcome of a game/series. 105-101 vs 112-107. Not too shabby if you ask me. But, like the first Heat/Celtics game, the score does not give justice to the actual game.
It wasn't even close.
If the Heat won, it would have been solely because of Lebron (sounds like Cleveland). This team does not know how to handle themselves as a cohesive unit. Too many players who are shoot first, pass second (Lebron, Wade, Bosh, House, James Jones). No scary big man (although Zydrunas Ilgauskas sounds pretty intimidating) and no point guard to control the game. Sure, send Pat Riley to the bench, but I don't know if that will do anything. Coaching isn't the ultimate issue here.
To anyone paying attention: Cleveland is 4-4, a mere half game behind Miami. Just a thought.
In hindsight, none of this has anything to do with April-June, where it all matters (as we know from last year). But if it's a sign of things to come, I'm not complaining.
Red Sox Nation: the official Jayson Werth/Carl Crawford/Adam Dunn/Adrian Gonzalez/Cliff Lee/new Bullpen watch is underway (as well as the Adrian Beltre/Victor Martinez/Jason Varitek watch). Let's grab Werth or Crawford, and ship Mike Cameron out of here (or use him as back-up, not a bad option). And, you know, if Cliff Lee thinks Boston is a good choice, we probably should let him come here. Sure, it gives us 7 starters, but with all but Lester and Lackey taking a trip to the DL this season, you can never have enough.
