Big Papi to Compete in HR Derby

Red Sox slugger David Ortiz will participate in this year's Homerun Derby from Angel Stadium in Anaheim. Ortiz competed in the competition for three straight years from 2004 until 2006, and this will be his first appearance since that 2006 campaign.

Hopefully Papi can continue to blast homers the way he has been for the Red Sox ever since his initial slump to start the season. Ortiz has 17 homers and 54 RBI's thus far.

The derby will take place on Monday, July 12th from Angel Stadium. The All-Star Game will be held on Tuesday, the 13th.
