This striking oddity of nature (once featured in "Ripley's Believe It or Not!") raises some beguiling questions. Did this tree, which some speculate to be more than 250 years old, grow this way naturally? Or could it have been deliberately shaped this way by Native Americans for a burial rites ceremony?

Introducing the coolest tree in the history of the world, period.
AOL News - A short distance from the Cape Meares lighthouse, near the edge of a steep cliff region of northern Oregon, stands a very odd-looking tree. Known as the Octopus Tree, this giant, 105-foot-tall Sitka spruce has numerous branches that stretch out in all directions, appearing as bizarre tentacles from a central 50-foot base.

I would give anything to have this tree in my back yard. Like, not even kidding. Think of how much crazy shit you could do with it. Like whenever you wanted to have a bunch of kids sleep over when you were little and your mom said no. If you had this tree you could just fire back with "Oh, I'll just set up 200 Avatar beds in the Octopus tree outside mom." And what could she say? Nothing. I don't care whether or not it was shaped this way by the Native Americans or if it grew naturally or if it was pulled straight from fucking Pandora. Doesn't matter. I want to hang out in this tree 24/7 with my computer and become a secluded sports blogger forever.
