Battle of former Sox hurlers today. Rich Garces, a.k.a. "El Guapo" doing battle against David Wells. A heavyweight bout!
El Guapo: An absolute fan favorite in Boston. People loved this guy. I miss him. He brought the fire to the mound. Was always pumped up. And I know I would be scared to face him in the octagon. He's an animal. He can fight any style.
David Wells: Not as memorable in Boston per-say, but definitely a more acclaimed pitcher in MLB history. Most of his glory days came with other teams, such as the New York Yankees. He's a little more mellow then El Guapo. He'll look to bring the fight to the ground where El Guapo isn't as agile.
