And the Boston Celtics take a 3-2 lead! Just a phenomenal performance tonight. The Celtics endure a run from Kobe Bryant during which he scored 19 consecutive points for the Lakers. Drops his best scoring performance of the series on us, and we are able to take it with a grain of salt. Bust right through it. Pierce played phenomenal, and so did Rondo and KG. Ray was still off with his shot, but it didn't matter. Because the Celtics play impeccable defense, and they play tough. The Celtics don't rely on flopping. They don't rely on getting gift calls from the refs. They rely on physical, hard-nosed, team efforts. The Lakers rely on flopping, gift calls, and singular superstar play. That's why the Boston Celtics are the better team. That's why the Boston Celtics will be NBA champions once again. It will happen on either Tuesday or Thursday night. You can count on that. I said prior to this game that I believed the winner of game 5 would win the series. It was Boston, and they have all the momentum. I cannot see LA winning the series at this point. Celtics in 6, in all likelihood.
PS -- What possesses Kobe to give consent (no pun intended) for someone to take these photos of him? I don't get it. But then again, there are a lot of things about Kobe I don't get.

ReplyDeleteI know we're not Barstool.... hense why we actually give some sports-related reasoning behind things we right. Instead of just saying like the Celtics spit in Kobe's eye tonight and dumped on his chest. We try to actually talk about the game A LITTLE BIT. Barstool is a different type of blog. I've been asking since the beginning not to be compared to them. They're a smut blog. They post hilarious shit. Vulgar shit. And it's awesome. I love Barstool. We're not Barstool. We write differently than Barstool. You'll have a tough time finding swears in my posts. Or adult content. Or things that aren't related to sports. So if you think I write like El Pres.... the only two things I can think of are (1) thanks? Since he's a very successful writer.... and (2) read a little more carefully. Because Barstool and UB aren't really very similar.
