I'm already looking forward to welcoming the Big Leprechaun to Boston. Will that be his nickname? I don't know. Maybe. But the Shaqtus is definitely going to provide some fantastic entertainment to this team. He's a hilarious dude. That's undeniable. And now he's wearing the green and pursuing a title. He could have earned a lot more money somewhere else. But he settles on a 2-year deal worth a grand total of $3 million. Veteran's minimum. I love it. Shaq is still very capable, and if he can play his role the way we hope, we're going to be in great shape. Doc Rivers and the Celtics believe that you win with veterans in this league. They will try to prove their theory this year with quite the veteran team. I think they can do it. The two O'Neals can provide what we've been missing. I'm just that much more pumped for the opening tipoff now.
4 Hall of Famers on the roster now plus Rondo----not bad. Two can have offnights and the others can pick up the slack. Now if Shaq could only play defense, oh well, the entertainment value is priceless.
ReplyDeleteI know. It's awesome. The Celtics are gonna really contend again this year I think. They were so close last year, and adding the 2 O'Neals, I really think they have what it takes once again.
