I Hate Brett Favre
Honestly is this a fucking joke? Yesterday it was all over the news that Brett Favre told the Vikings he was retiring and that he wouldn't return for a second season with the purple. Less than 24 hours later, the reports are that he has said he will play if he's healthy. So basically the exact opposite of what the deal was yesterday. I'm so sick of this I can't even begin to explain. I just don't understand how you can like Brett Favre when he pulls this shit every offseason. Legit. Every offseason we go through the 40 days and nights of Brett Favre's life. It's like a big huge movie that never ends but when it does end it's always the same. Enough already. Tell me when it is 100% official that he is or isn't playing. At that point at least I'll know there's a 1% chance he doesn't change his mind from there. Fuck you Favre.

I blame ESPN 110% for this one.
ReplyDeleteThe newspaper in Minenapolis reported that Favre texted someone that he was done. ESPN catchs wind of this and says Brett Favre officially retires. THEY RAN HOURS UPON HOURS OF FAVRE HIGHLIGHTS. They had all of their anylysts give their opinion of favre's place in history. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!? Everyone and their mom knew this wasn't the last we'd ever hear of Brett Favre. ESPN is so fucking retarted its beyond fathomable. They fucking know full well that he wasn't just retiring right there on the spot. Yet even as I type this i'm getting beat over the head with Favre talk. I don't understand why they keep putting something on T.V. that just pisses everyone off. ESPN needs competition ASAP because its turned into entertainment tonight with all the Brett Favre and Lebron James talk. We all hate Favre, they know we hate Favre, and they force everyone on their network to act like Favre is a god. By the way Jon Gruden said yesterday "Brett Favre is one of the toughest men on the planet" when asked about the consecutive starts streak. Really Gruden? Cause i'm pretty sure I could name 100 million tougher people than Favre. How about anyone in the military?
I hope to one day find out that Brett Favre is a maniacal genius who would just sit back at his house and see how much he could conrtol the media by sending out one ambiguous text message.
Totally agree, it's gotten so frustrating, like if I go watch Sportscenter for 15 minutes I should learn about a number of different teams and players. Instead I'm almost guaranteed to get the majority of that time about Favre or LeBron or some other speculation that really doesn't matter at all. It's so annoying. They do need competition. Maybe I'll try to expand so there is an "Ultimate ____" for every city and the TV network will be Ultimate Sports Network and USPN will beat ESPN. Maybe. Far-fetched but maybe.
