Umm Yes? Madden in 7 Days
All hell breaks loose in the world of anyone who is relied on to do productive things once August 10th rolls around. Because Madden '11 is released on that day, and everyone who was formerly productive at work, school, or even at home will no longer be productive and will have their eyes glued to their television sets, their thumbs cranking XBox 360 controller buttons. Yes, it's that big of a deal.
I'm now 19 years old, and I have come to realize that Madden is just one of those things that qualify as yearly expenses. Like every year you gotta pay the car insurance. Every month you gotta pay for the Netflix subscription. You gotta buy X amount of gas each summer. And then you have to buy Madden. $60 I just factor into my mental budget every single year. Because at the end of the summer, the dog days winding down, getting ready to head off to school, there's just no fucking way that I won't buy Madden. You think I'm going to move into my new dorm at Boston College without my XBox and my Madden in my sights at all times? Hell no. I'm not crazy. You need to have Madden. It's that good.
7 days away now. Couldn't be more excited. And you know what is actually awesome to me? I love that the Patriots won't be the best team anymore. Because now I can be the Patriots when you play. For the past few years it has just been like the unwritten rule. You're a pussy if you pick the Patriots. Everyone always uses the Colts or the Chargers or the Saints or the Eagles. The second tier teams that aren't quite at the top. Well now the Patriots are back into that category, and you're the pussy if you pick Indy or New Orleans. Patriots are fair game again. I love it. I need Madden right now. I'm craving it. These 7 days can't pass quickly enough!!

haha, you're crazy DRob, but I feel you on that. I must be like the %10 of Americans who own a console that doesn't shell out the $62.98 (tax included) to get Madden. Haven't since McNabb was on the cover. Seems like it's the same game year after year, just updated rosters and graphics. Same goes for NHL games. Until they update the engine within the game and come up with something new, I probably won't buy another sports game. I'm still waiting for the day when I can put on a simulation helmet or stand on some sort of platform where I can be a quarterback or a baseball hitter and either throw a pass using motion sensing or swinging a small bat through the air trying to hit a holographic ball...NOW that would be sick.
ReplyDeleteBut til then, I'll stick with my Call of Duty and Halo...and as of late, FIFA :D BTW, what's your gamertag? Add me on live Kshep04 0=a zero
haha, i definitely see your point, but for me personally, the rosters drive me nuts. i'm such a perfectionist and the little things annoy me, so playing with old rosters gets on my nerves lol. idk i just find myself neeeding Madden and NHL every year, which sucks, but it's like an addiction haha. better than getting on cigarettes or something i guess. and my gamertag is DRob24 i haven't had a headset in like a year tho lol
ReplyDeleteBecause now I can be the Patriots when you play.
ReplyDeleteI think I found a grammatical error.
hahaha touché, you got me there. not sure what i was thinking. i don't know if that is classified as a grammatical error or just an improper style of communication or what. but whether or not it is technically wrong it is definitely wrong in every other sense. im ashamed lol
