The Worst Possible Timing.
Your brain might be playing tricks on you because it says the "worst" timing, yet it shows the Patriots at a Super Bowl parade. How is that bad? Well it wasn't bad at all until XBox froze at this frame that I've snapped a picture of. For those of you who are avid franchise guys in Madden, you know the Super Bowl celebration is always the most coveted piece of the game's animation set that you need to watch. It's just you cherish the moment and it's just the balls when you win it all. So I make it to the Super Bowl against the Vikings (whose quarterback is Matt Moore? And they won the NFC? Uhh...) and it's a crazy game. Back and forth action. I go up 52-45 late in the fourth quarter. We were literally trading touchdowns all game, with some turnovers mixed in here and there. The Vikings come back and kick a field goal on fourth down instead of going for it. 52-48 with 2 minutes to go. Minnesota has all three timeouts, so I gotta move the ball. And move the ball I did. Bled the clock out for the Super Bowl win. Brady tosses 6 scores and is Super Bowl MVP. And surprisingly enough, Madden '11 has a SICK Super Bowl video thing at the end. Like one of those epic documentary type things with the guy talking about the glory of winning it all and all that good stuff. And he was in the middle of making this epic recital, with all kinds of videos overlaying it of my sick team celebrating and having a blast at the parade. And then...
The game freezes. Right here. So here we are. I haven't even officially quit the game yet because, obviously, I'm still watching the Super Bowl congratulatory video that makes lazy bums like myself feel like they've actually won the Super Bowl for a few minutes. And since I haven't quit the game yet, it hasn't saved. And hell, I don't know if autosave is on or not. For all I know, I could be back at the divisional game against the Broncos now (70-7 victory). Or the conference championship against the Colts (71-24 victory). Once again... time wasted. I know this isn't Madden's fault though. It's my XBox. But still. This was more just an expression of the rotten luck this was. I mean it couldn't have turned out much worse. If I had lost the Super Bowl this would have been a good thing, because I'd get another shot. But nope. I'd say this was pretty much the worst possible outcome. Nice. At least real football starts in 4 weeks.
