Aaron Rodgers Bashes Kornheiser, Praises Brady
The following two transcriptions of Aaron Rodgers interviews were posted on Sports Radio Interviews today.
“You know who was better than Tony Kornheiser? Dennis Miller was ten times better. Dennis Miller was a great comedian, but one of the worst Monday Night Football guys ever. And he was ten times better than Tony Kornheiser. His stuff was actually funny. Tony stuff wasn’t funny at all. He did no research. We’d sit in those production meetings and he would add absolutely nothing to the conversation. I’d be like, ‘What are we doing here? This is stupid.’… You get in there with Tony and he’s asking you all these dumb questions that have no application to the game you are playing or anything you are doing. He’s terrible… I don’t think he’s funny. I don’t think he’s insightful. I don’t think knows anything about sports.”
“Tom Brady is the best by far. It’s not even close. Drew Brees has got to be right there. Tony Romo’s a good player. I’ll take Philip Rivers there. And Peyton, he’s right there. No order except for Tom being the best. He does things that other guys can’t do. His pocket presence is better than those guys by far. He throws a better ball than just about all those guys. He’s a winner – better than all those guys.”
Just gained a ton more respect for Aaron Rodgers. Many will claim that he's actually in that top group of quarterbacks as far as talent goes. But these interviews are really just awesome. Bashing Tony Kornheiser, and praising Tom Brady. I love it. Rodgers is right. Kornheiser isn't funny, and he doesn't know all that much about sports. And I feel like he's always got a problem with Boston. Maybe it's just me. But it seems that way. And then when Rodgers lists the QB's. Clearly distinguishes that Brady is the best, far and away. And he names Peyton last out of those other four! I love it! Someone buy me an Aaron Rodgers jersey right now. We should run a 2-quarterback backfield just because he's that awesome. Bring him to New England.

I like when players speak their minds. He's right about Tony, and Tom is very good, but the best in the league is Peyton.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I definitely love when players speak their minds. That's the part I loved the most about this. And the Tom-Peyton debate has gone on for ages. There's no definitive answer. If you're picking a quarterback to start a team with, probably Peyton. If you're picking a guy to win you one game, probably Brady. Brady's got the rings. Peyton's got the MVPs. Two different monsters. So saying Peyton is the best is definitely respectable. Everyone's got their opinion on it.
