Uruguay Holds on to Tie France, 0-0
The infamous 0-0 soccer match. Well, to be honest, the World Cup hasn't quieted critics of the sport yet. 1-1 and 0-0 through two matches is not what the uneducated soccer fan bases were looking for. For the true fans of the sport, though, it hasn't been all that bad. Uruguay executed a great defensive game plan in this match and was able to sneak away with a point against France -- a spectacular feat for the Uruguayans. France is considered the favorite in that group, and the sky blue are most likely thrilled to get a draw out of that opener. France had their chances in stoppage time, but they were unable to bury the ball. They also failed to execute on back-to-back corner kicks near the end of the match.
Well, the day we've all been waiting for is nearly upon us. The United States will kick off with England tomorrow afternoon on ABC. Get ready to rumble!
