Lester Takes the Hill vs Cleveland
Jon Lester (7-2, 2.73 ERA) will take the hill tonight for the Boston Red Sox as they try to win their series with the Cleveland Indians from Progressive Field. The Indians will send Mitch Talbot (7-4, 3.54 ERA) to the mound in return. Talbot has been one of the Indians' best this year, but I don't see any way Lester drops this start. Coming off an 11-0 blanking by a shutout from Justin Masterson, the Sox offense is bound to break out for a big day sooner or later. And Clay Buchholz suffered the loss in yesterday's game, despite giving up just 3 earned in 7 innings. Regardless, this Buchholz-Lester punch has been too good to drop back to back starts. I'd call this the lock of the week. Lester and the BoSox will wrap up a 3-for-4 series with Cleveland tonight behind a great outing from their starter.
